French Guiana is the territory smaller, less populated South America, is located slightly north of Ecuador. With warm weather and rain, only the coast, lowland and alluvial, is cultivated (cocoa, bananas, sugar cane, rice and maize). The mountainous interior is covered by tropical rainforest. There are significant reserves of bauxite and gold. Mining activities have caused pollution of the river Moroni, the main food source for natives of the area.

French Guiana has beaches on the coast where you can practice water sports. On the other hand, can travel by canoe along the rivers, hiking through the woods, and watching wildlife, especially birds and turtles nesting on beaches.
