The Arc de Triomphe, Paris France

The Arc de Triomphe is a construction that tricks in photo, because when we see their images think that this is a triumphal arch as there are hundreds more throughout Europe, but when seen for the first time quickly warn their spectacular size, dimensions become truly majestic when visiting the "roof" of the Arc and can see all the city at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, with a spectacular view towards the four cardinal points, but maybe something more impressive (no offense to all the others) to the east, as you can see straight across the famous Champs Elysees with the Place de Concorde (Place de la Concorde) in the background.

The Arc was a tribute to Napoleon's armies, which honored him with the construction of this colossal Arc de Triomphe of 50 meters by 45 meters wide, being carved on their walls the names of many battles won by the armies Napoleon.

At the base of the Arc de Triomphe we find the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where a flame is always on serves as homage to all those who gave their lives for France.

Finally it is worth insisting on the view from atop the Arc de Triomphe, one of the best views of Paris, although maybe not suitable for many people, as is done on foot ascent on a narrow spiral staircase with 286 steps to the top of it.
